The best international Public-Private Partnership

Under a public-private partnership project, Dragages Singapore was in charge of designing and building a sports complex comprising: a 55,000-seat stadium with retractable roof and air-conditioned seating, a 6,000-seat indoor aquatic centre, and a water sports centre for the general public, a fully scalable 3,000-seat multifunction arena, an exhibition centre, a sports museum and office space for sporting associations, a 41,000 m² of commercial space, and food and beverage outlets. The project is located on a 35 hectare seafront site in the centre of the city. The 25 year concession contract includes management of an existing 12, 000 seat sports and entertainment facility. Technical expertise

The “ring beam”, an enormous circular beam, measuring one kilometre in length, supports the 12,000-metric ton steelwork of the tdome, the stadium roof. 3-D modelling operations were used in order to predict all factors which will affect the ring beam. With this operation, Bouygues Batiment International is breaking the record of the world largest dome with a free span of 312 meters.
